Vishnupad Temple
Vishnupad Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in Gaya, Bihar, India, on the banks of the Phalgu River. The temple is believed to be built at the site where Lord Vishnu is said to have killed the demon Gayasura or pinned him underground. It features a 40-cm-long footprint, believed to be that of Lord Vishnu, engraved on a block of basalt known as the Dharmashila. This footprint marks the spot where Vishnu stepped on Gayasura's chest to subdue him.
